Beauty Counter: NARS Fall 2010 Collection
NARS founder Francois Nars describes the new 2010 Fall collection as old-Hollywood meets futuristic glamour. NARS has always been a fashion based makeup brand. You can find the collection being used all over some of the hottest runway shows at New York fashion week including Marc Jacobs, Phillip Lim and Thakoon. The new collection is fun and functional mixing bright colors with great everyday staples that are a must have for your makeup wardrobe.
The Duo eyeshadows Tzarine and Rajasthan are easy to wear combinations that are great for day or evening smoky eyes. Daphne eyeshadow is my favourite color of the collection. It’s a true matte deep violet that can be worn on its own or paired up with Mangrove, a soft yellow green shadow. Coconut Grove eyeshadow is a deep taupe brown which looks beautiful as a lash liner. Palladium turquoise shadow pencil is the perfect pop of color. Rouge Basque is a brick red lipstick, which is one of the hottest colors for fall. Wear it on its own or layer it with the new bright pink lip gloss Strawberry Fields for a fun flirty look.
And last but not least Douceur blush is a soft pink brown blush ...

Fallin’ for Fall
It’s that time of year again when there’s a nip in the air and the kiddies head back to school (the malls are ours again people). I’ve been scouring September issues and Fall look books to get inspiration for my Fall wardrobe wish list. Club Monaco’s Fall look book instantly caught my attention. Shot on the streets of New York, the Fall collection is full of gorgeous car coats, jackets and trenches. Slim fitting pants and mini skirts with slouchy socks in booties traipse down the street striking a perfect pose. This is what Fall wardrobes are made of.

Get Fresh for Fall
While Summer is my favorite season, it’s so yesterday and I’m ready to break out the Fall clothes. So many things I need (err want?) yet so little cash. Luckily, Joe Fresh’s Fall collection lets you hit on the key trends without blowing the bank. All these pieces can be easily incorporated into any wardrobe for the perfect mix of high and low style. I share with you some of my favorite looks. Hands off the motorcycle jacket and utility parka. So mine.
This October, look out for the dedicated Joe Fresh Store opening at 540 Granville Street. 2 floors and 14,000 square feet of shopping goodness.
