Just as Vancouver is recognized as North America’s gateway to the Asia Pacific, Canada Place is recognized as the world’s gateway to Vancouver. It is undoubtedly the best place to enjoy a spectacular view of the ocean and majestic mountains. Stanley Park: Vancouver’s Green Treasure
After finishing shopping on Robson Street, you can take the bus 019 heading towards Stanley Park. After about 10 minutes, you will have reached this very well preserved natural park. Opened in 1888, Stanley Park, Vancouver’s green treasure, not only is a favorite of many tourists, but also is the most visited place by local residents. It covers 1,000 acres and much of this park remains forested with various wildlife and hundreds of years old trees and plants, and many of them are as tall as 76 meters. In the summer time, you can easily travel around the park by taking a shuttle bus, which hits 15 of the park’s most popular attractions and natural highlights ($2 for adults and $1 for kids age 2 to 11).

English Bay: Gorgeous sunset - watching beach
Walking along the path of Stanley Park, let’s head over to English Bay for ice cream on the beach and to watch the sun set.  Located alongside the Stanley Park Seawall, English Bay is the most popular sunbathing and sunset-watching beach in Vancouver. On a warm summer day, thousands of visitors and local residents gather together to enjoy the incredible peaceful natural view. Be sure to secure a seat earlier when you happen to visit the beach during the last week in July or first week in August, when the HSBC Celebration of Light, Vancouver’s premier fireworks competition, is held, since English Bay is undoubtedly the best spot to view this off-shore firework display.
